Heidi Steffens Bio:

Heidi is the owner of My Spirit Experience, a spiritual center in St Louis Park, MN where she works full time. She is a Master Reiki Instructor, Ordained Shamanic Minister and a Shamanic Breathwork Facilitator. She has been the organizer of MPRS – Minnesota Paranormal Research Society minnesotaparanormal.com since 2008, co-hosts The Gathering which is a weekly paranormal radio show on paraxradionetwork.com and also has a podcast on all podcast networks (My Spirit Experience Podcast). 

 

She holds a Bachelor of Elemental Studies and Master of Shamanic Intuitional Practices through Venus Rising University. She is focused on helping people navigate their healing and soul-purpose paths in this world as well as working with lost or unwelcome spirits as the lines between planes and dimensions become more and more intertwined.

 

My Journey

 

My own spirit experiences started when I was a young child. I first started seeing spirits and images others couldn't understand when I was very young, I have memories from before I was four years old. I didn't understand why I could see what others could not, and there was no one in my family that understood what I was experiencing so what I was seeing was dismissed. I was told I had an active imagination, that I was "creative".

I chose to stop talking about things I was seeing that no one else believed. It was a scary world as a kid. The fear prevented me from understanding why Spirits were there with me. The fear also kept me in a state of feeling watched, paranoid, and on edge until I was in my twenties.

As I got older, I was able to understand that the spirits found me because they knew I could see/hear/sense them. Some had messages that needed to be passed along and others just wanted help navigating the other side. I realized I was able to help in these situations and in doing so I could see the closure and sense of peace that would come to both the people of this world and those in Spirit. I discovered through working with people and connecting to the Spirit side, a path was revealing itself as my necessary life direction.

I decided to walk the path and went through of years of schooling, professional classes, self work, and training from my Spirit Guides. It is now my commitment to help others connect with Spirit, understand their own connectivity with Spirit, or work with their own intuitions and sensitivities. I have been fortunate to work with thousands of clients over the years and have dealt with many different situations between people and Spirit... from the dark and dangerous to the miraculous and beautiful.

Over the years I have worked in a multitude of situations. I commit to donating at least 10% of my time each month to help those in financial need. I also offer a variety of free community events through my studio at no cost as a way of giving back to others and the community.

Why I became an Ordained Shamanic High Priestess

 

​When first embarking on the Shamanic Priestess process, my intent was solely for the self work aspect. I knew to be better at the work I was doing with others (Channeling Reiki, connecting with Spirit, teaching spiritual classes, performing negative extractions), self work was necessary and most important. I needed to continue the process of making myself a clearer channel for receiving Spirit. The first year was a process of diving deep into myself and my own inner healing where no corners could be cut, honesty is the only way to go, and the work would be done thoroughly and truly.

 

What I came to discover in this process, is there is a greater force awakening, through a network of awareness as the feminine is once again coming into light. Not to overshadow the masculine, but to work together and bring more awareness and enlightenment to humanity. One by one as each person answers the call to Spirit, we can make a difference and help the world evolve into a place of peace, love, balance and light once again. To hold myself to a higher standard in this process, I also worked to become an ordained minister.

 

As a Shamanic Minister, it is my duty to represent the awakening collective and help bring transformations into the world - no matter how small – through each interaction I have with everyone in my day to day life. As I expanded my knowledge and started the process of my own transformation, I was led to the understanding by my Spirit Guides that this would not only be about my own work, but helping others that were looking for the same things I had been seeking. Part of my journey was to make myself a stronger connection to Spirit so I can be stronger in helping others. Helping them with their own Spiritual self development, or connect to Spirit in a way they don’t know how. Help open people’s eyes to possibilities that they didn’t think existed.

 

Whatever the task ahead, it will be to do the work in a humble way and keeping everyone’s highest good solely in mind. I have been answering the call of Spirit…following my souls divine path.
